Regular buns were toasted in the same place on the grill as the dogs. Didn't know that onion rings contaminated fries. Thought they did well and no huffing and puffing. Double burger and fries dinner was awesome! The owner started offering gf buns because of a family member diagnosed with celiac.

Very awesome. Be sure to ask for glove change and tell them from the start any special instructions or need for gf bun. French fries etc are NOT gf. Basic hotdog on bun with ketchup is the safest route here. No toppings no sides no fries.
Not bad flavor but the gf bun is thick. Delicious hot dogs! The buns are from Kinnikinick I think. They almost always remember to change gloves when you ask for gluten free, on occasion you have to remind them. A char-broiled hot dog is a fabulous thing. I tried to order fries once, and they promptly told me they're fried in the same fryer as breaded stuff.
Nothing like a char grilled hot dog with chili on a gf bun. Wish they had some gf sides though. Ted's is in no way Celiac safe. However, There are precautions that can be taken. Ask them to change their gloves. There are some condiments on the side. Since I like ketchup only on my hotdogs, I used the pump ketchup near the seating area. Since I just ate, I will update this, if there are any reactions. I have been there a couple times in the last few months and haven't had an issue yet! The rolls are all individually wrapped and they put them in the microwave instead of the grill.
I always keep an eye on the grill person though since they have different staff there so often. Did not notice cross contamination, but it was amazing to go to a burger joint and be able to eat like a regular person!!

Definitely my new gluten free "fast food" restaurant. Not bad use Udi's rolls which contain calcium sulphate which is gypsum hence the drywall taste associated with Udi's rolls, They should switch to another company for rolls that actually taste like rolls and not charge an extra 1.
Love the buns! Haven't had a hotdog in a bun in years. Enjoyed every bite! Any chance of GF onion rings? So nice to see a great locally owned establishment making accommodations for their GF customers offering Udi's buns. Chili is gluten free, too; however they do not have a dedicated fryer for their French fries : FYI: Make sure to remind them to change gloves before handling your individually wrapped bun.
