I found the black specks in both of the Vitamix jugs I have!! Finally just after Christmas, after having been told by Vitamix that they could replace my jugs but there was no guarantee the replacement jugs would be free of the black specks, I asked for a refund of my machines!!

I have duly sent them back to Vitamix Australia and am now awaiting my refund!!

If they take as long with the refund as they did in contacting me about the issue initially I can see I will be waiting at least another couple of months for it!! I found the customer service from Vitamix both here and in the USA to be very bad and to be honest I just want to get the issue over and forgotten about!!

If Vitamix had said they were remanufacturing the jugs and would replace mine with new jugs guaranteed to not have the black specks issue I would have kept them but no such solution was put forward by Vitamix!! I am now using my Omniblend V and as I like to have two machines I have purchased the Optimum , neither of which have the black specks and are just about as good as the Vitamix!!
