The dessert was awesome, however, it was sliced so thinly you could see through it. The creators of this venue are on to something and with some improvements, this can be really great! This was worth the groupon. Dinner starts at 7pm. Go at 6pm to get a parking spot. I recently attended the Christmas murder mystery dinner with a large group from work. We were all so excited to do something different. Boy was this a sad disappointment! First off the lady that ran the front desk and the place was awful.

She was down right mean. She treated the staff terribly in front of all the guests. She yelled at 2 people from our group because they needed to use the restroom and she wanted to get started. The clues made no sense, but that was fine. We still had fun with that part if it. The food was terrible. The pasta was cold and the chicken was awful. The veggies looked they were from a 70's TV dinner.

We all had to grab food after we left. I'm hoping they just had an off night but I won't be back to find out.

Went on a Groupon. It was a fun evening. Self Guided Tour of the house. The lady at the reception table was less than friendly but, that wasn't the case with the remainder of the staff. It was a bit loud but that was part of the fun.

The story was good and they kept it entertaining. The food Soup was cold, salad was cold, pasta was cold. Main dish of Chicken and potatos was hot and good. The cake was wonderful. If they get the food to us warm it would rate 4. This was our first, but not last. Interested to see what other entertainment they have available. Fun evening with the family. It was a disappointing evening. The theme was a Backward Dinner, you were to wear your clothes backwards, get a tour of the mansion backwards, dinner backwards start with dessert end up with salad.

We got there and no one including the staff that put the dinner together were dressed in theme ie.. Then we were handed a map of the house and instructed to go on the tour ourselves with the paper map. Then we sat ourselves at the table with our number on it and waited and waited for our waitress to start the service. The dessert was awesome and then it went down hill from there. The dinner we ordered was Pork loin, mashed potatoes and green beans. Bad, bad, bad.

First of all it was served cold, the pork loin was tough and had no flavor, the mashed potatoes were so cold they would not even melt the butter we put on them, the green beans were not cooked. The salad was good. We all just expected more from the evening. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Could have been fun Cannot in good conscious recommend this event.

We were there on a Groupon gift that my sister-in-law gave us as a gift. We were quite underimpressed by the food and underimpressed with the lack of handicapped accessible accommodations. I also have food allergies which we were promised would be relayed to the host at the small building outside the main house where our murder mystery dinner was being held; however, this information was never given to him. The food was obviously frozen and reheated. I would never, ever pay full price, and frankly, half price was overpaying for the quality.

The murder mystery was oversold, and the room was so noisy we couldn't hear our table mates as they were acting out their part of the mystery. We were promised the grand prize drawing would happen at the end of the year - two people who guessed the correct murder mystery solutions from the whole year would be chosen out of a "hat" to attend a murder mystery in Scotland, which is apparently where this type of game originated. As far as we know, no names were ever published, and I have sincere doubts that that grand prize was ever awarded.

We will NOT ever go back, although we enjoy the murder mystery dinner concept. This implementation was not done well at all. My husband and I recently got married at the Propylaeum. For starters, you can't find a better deal in indianapolis.

We used both the Carriage House and the first floor of the mansion, and my husband and I each got a beautiful room to get ready in. The place is absolutely stunning, and unlike anything any caterer could offer.

Included in the unreal price for both rooms, was tables, chairs and linens, and all the flowers including my bouquet and boutineers for family. I hardley had to lift a finger. With the stress of planing a wedding, that was a huge plus. During the event we got some history about the house and it's builder. The food was superb and portions generous. We had the field green salad with strawberries, kabobs of very tender chicken, beef and veggies and great sides I have to give a big shoutout to the staff. They were warm and personable and made the day feel that much more special.
