Every government does things we don't agree with. Taxes are still used for good such as NHS and police too. I would like to support smaller businesses but they are generally more expensive which makes it difficult!
In theory, you're not wrong. And I've got nothing against British businesses and I am all in favour of supporting them especially local small businesses. However if my tax contributions are used to fund the kind of atrocities like the ones in happening in Yemen I'd rather not pay the taxes, not to mention the systemic corruption.
I didn't want to bring politics in this however we're talking about human lives so not easy to turn a blind eye to. I would rather a business pay their taxes but if they can get away with it then I don't blame them for doing so. Loopholes need to be closed. Correct, however the point I was responding to was about companies who pay tax in UK Vs those those which avoid tax.
