It is a long walk up that hill! We thought the breakfast buffet was impressive in its variety and quality. But we also ate out every night so I can't comment on the lunch or dinners they cater. They also use salt in their pool rather than chlorine which makes it a lot nicer on the eyes underwater! We had friends staying on Ibiza at the same time as us and I can assure you that Insotel is one of the nicest on the island, not upto some people's 4 star expectations maybe, but if you really want to go to Ibiza this is te place for you. I recommend hiring a car, Insotel is 10kms south of San Antonio and its well worth exploring Eivissa town.
Really enjoyed our time here! We arrived at 2. Ten minutes later we were in our room which was spotlessly clean, and nicely decorated, plus bathroom was all marble, lovely. Next day we went for breakfast and were taken aback at the massive choice of fresh fruits, cereals, pastries and cooked breakfast items, bacon, eggs, etc.

Next to the pool which was great, two kids pools and one adult pool again immaculate. The icing on the cake for my husband and I was the kids club! Having a ten year old and six year old it was a Godsend! My six year old son asked continually when he was going and my daughter got over her inital embarassment and she asked to go too!
We have to say a special thank you to Favio who ran the club and took great care of our kids! Please bear in mind this is really a family hotel and not the place to go for a romantic break. An excellent hotel, immaculate, close to a beautiful beach, fab kids club! Yes, we will definately be going back! The hotel seems to be catered for spanish holiday makers and i felt you get stared at a lot by them! The pool sunbeds were set out like Sardines so everyone was on top of each other so we spent our time on the beach which was lovely!
The good points are The hotel was very clean and the rooms very spacious, nice bathroom and recepion staff friendly so no complants about that. Our hotel room was situated at the furthest point away from everything and the hotel is set on a steep slope, I am a fit 23 yr old and coming back from the beach to my room up hill took 15 mins and we were knackered by the time we got to the top! The food I felt was like a school canteen, I have never seen a buffet like it!
Thank god we were only half board because we eat out most of the time we were there! If you are looking for a quality 4 star all inclusive hotel try Iberostar costa calera in Lanzarote or Riu Vistamir in Gran Caneria! The reviews we had read all said it was a perfect romantic getaway. Unfortunately, the Italian school holidays began in our 1st week, then it was a case of watching the horrendous behaviour of the children in the restaurant, causing us to stay at the pool over lunch-time to get some peace and quiet!
The beach is lovely, the food very good, apart from the evenings when the grill chef can't cope with the number of guests. On these evenings you need to content yourself with one of the items NOT on the grill. No tomato juice to make Bloody Marys, no porter service when we arrived, though Italians demanded it. Bar staff insist on giving cheaper Spanish versions of Gin, Brandy etc. Roof-top restaurant NOT open, which was VERY disappointing, it would make a great place to go and have a quiet drink, instead of having to watch the mini-disco and mediocre entertainment.

Curry night was a complete disaster. We spent every day at the adult pool,which was very peaceful,and had a great bar service including tasty snacks. It was only footsteps from the beautiful sandy beach,perfect for swimming in the clear turquoise water.

You don't need a snorkel to see loads of fish, just a piece of bread. It was sad to see the beach bar so empty. A special thank you to the guys working in the adult pool bar and the sunset bar. All those freshly mixed cocktails and large branded spirits were much appreciated! We got a very good deal on this holiday,so I wasn't bothered about things like scruffy towels,but if we had paid anything like full price, i would have been quite disappointed.
We enjoyed our stay here very much,although I don't think the facilities were 5 star. Arrived at 10pm no one met us at the front to collect bags left us struggling with two cases 3 bags and a one year old. No food was provided after traveling all day. No one showed us to our rooms.
