Yes basically I checked my thyroid and my tsh was really high But after using selenium and kelp And maybe a few other vitamins like B6, magnesium I would also go see an endocrinologist To look over your blood tests And check for irregularities The main one being If your tsh drops Your t4 values should go up Or if your t4 values goes higher Your tsh should drop If it doesn't then you might have Pituitary problems.
Actually I feel fantastic the best I have felt in years. I can even exercise and go out past dark. That is why I am so reluctant to change medications or do anything differently. I've been on Synthroid and NDT's with no luck.
Remember the supplements need to be taken separate from thyroid hormone. T4 and T3 doses and levels drive TSH. It is an inverse relationship, as part of the hormone "loop.
Lower doses or less absorption and TSH rises as the pituitary tries to stimulate your now nonexistent thyroid to produce more T4. Pituitary problems are rare. I am so glad to hear how well yo feel!
