At Club Mahindra: It was an absolutely complimentary stay, literal to the mention of it. Well, after the first bit of this shock, we convinced ourselves for a compensating experience at the resort — Kodai, By the Lake, but no! Food was very very average for a charge of bucks a couple! Definitely not worth the money and what a poor service by the staff!!!
You might get a glass of water by the time you finish your meal. But of course, that depends on how many times you beg them for one! A much more courteous treatment can be had from a local fast food centre near home! The Room, assigned to us was a I would recommend Club Mahindra over Sterling. Rooms are quite spacious and neat. We were happy that there was a sofa cum bed which accommodated my sons well. Toilet was neat with hot water facility. We had no Wi-Fi which can be considered and it was quite tiring to climb all the way to the room. Food was average. Butter was piped and served.

Small packets of amul butter would be a nice choice. The butter was super hard and not spreadable. The toilet in the ground floor near the reception is really not comfortable. Hand wash and toilet in the same place and quite a long que is found all the time to visit the loo. Overall experience was good though a few considerations can make thee hotel successful.
Not to forget, a board near the road would be appreciated. It was great experience staying. The food is good.

We were there for 3 days at Kodai by The lake from 28th Jan. Superb location. Service is excellent. Staff is very friendly. Though little far from market place but convenient. Cabs are easily available. I would surely like to visit this place once again in future. I highly recommend the place. I cant say the same about the reception staff who always seem to busy to address customers needs.
I suggest that Sterling members get some preferential treatment or a seperate desk from the walk-ins and the customers who are paying for their rooms and not belonging to a Sterling time-share.
